The Town of Gilbert, in partnership with the Gilbert Historical Society, will be
holding its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 on the
lawn at the Gilbert Municipal Center to honor and
recognize our local Veterans. The guest speaker for this year's ceremony
is Terry Goddard, Arizona Attorney General and Retired Navy Commander.
This year the ceremony has been recognized as a 2009 Veterans Day Regional Site
by the Veterans Day National Committee.
The Mesquite High School Band will start playing patriotic music at 11:00 AM.
The ceremony will begin at 11:30 AM and last for approximately 30 minutes.
Following the ceremony, a complimentary lunch will be served to all in
attendance. Everyone is invited to attend.
Speaker Biography
Terry Goddard currently serves as Arizona's Attorney General. Among many other accomplishments, he served an active duty tour in the Navy and retired as a Commander after 27 years in the Naval Reserves. His full biography can be viewed here: Terry Goddard's Biography
